UNITED STATES COAST GUARD AUXILIARY FLOTILLA 13-06 Freeport, New York
Serving the western bays and South shore of Long Island, NY | |
U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Freeport Flotilla 13-06 was born in June of 1939.
Today, the members of Freeport Flotilla 13-06 are trained to augment the Coast Guard in every facet of their operations. Safety patrols, search & rescue, public education, communications, and vessel examinations, remain our primary responsibility. In addition, our Emergency Response Plan allows Freeport Flotilla 13-06 the ability to mobilize boats, personal watercraft (jetski’s) and manpower to assist the Coast Guard with any emergency. Our training allows this to be accomplished within one hour after receiving a call for assistance from Coast Guard Station Jones Beach. Freeport Flotilla 13-06, was mobilized to assist the Coast Guard during 9/11, and more recently has had the honors of training the Port Authority Police in On Water Maneuvers at JFK & LAGUARDIA airports.
Meetings Our meetings are held twice each month, on the first and third Wednesday at 2000 hrs (8:00 PM) at Coast Guard Station Jones Beach.
Please accept this invitation to be our guest at our next flotilla meeting. Simply contact our Flotilla Personel Services Officer.
